Perception
We begin by noticing.
What do we actually sense?
What have we assumed?
What changes when we become more attentive to the experience itself?

Somewhere beneath the noise of everything we've learnt to think, believe and explain, there is a quieter part of our experience.
The feeling that arrives before the thought.
The impression we cannot quite account for.
The moment we notice something and wonder how we knew.
Perhaps you've experienced it.
Perhaps you're simply curious.
Either way, you're welcome here.
The Sacred Resistance is a space to explore the possibilities of human awareness through practical experimentation, shared experience and a healthy willingness to question what we think we know.
No special gifts required.
No spiritual performance.
Just curiosity.

Most of us have spent a lifetime learning how to think.
How to analyse.
How to explain.
How to find the right answer.
But how much time have we spent exploring the experience of perception itself?
The subtle impressions.
The quiet sensations.
The moments of knowing that seem to arrive before conscious reasoning.
We may dismiss them.
We may misunderstand them.
Sometimes we may even be completely mistaken.
And that is part of the exploration.
The Sacred Resistance is not here to tell you what to believe.
It is here to give you a space to investigate.
To ask better questions.
To experiment.
To discover what your own experiences reveal.
Because curiosity is where the most interesting journeys begin.
Except there are no treadmills.
No mirrors.
And absolutely no requirement to pretend you know what you're doing.
Just a group of curious humans coming together to explore the less familiar dimensions of perception.
Every fortnight, we meet live to experiment.
We might work with images, objects, impressions, sensory exercises or remote-viewing-style activities.
Sometimes the results surprise us.
Sometimes they make us laugh.
Sometimes they raise more questions than they answer.
That's the beauty of it.
We practise noticing an impression before interpreting it.
We explore the difference between intuition, imagination, memory and assumption.
We learn to become more comfortable with uncertainty.
And we discover that being wrong can be just as interesting as being right.
This isn't about becoming special.
It's about becoming more aware.
There is no rigid syllabus.
Each gathering offers a new opportunity to explore.
We begin by noticing.
What do we actually sense?
What have we assumed?
What changes when we become more attentive to the experience itself?
Through guided exercises, we explore intuitive impressions and different approaches to perception.
We test ideas, compare experiences and remain open to unexpected outcomes.
Not every impression is accurate.
Not every unusual experience requires an extraordinary explanation.
We explore how to recognise our biases, question our interpretations and become more thoughtful observers.
The most meaningful discoveries are often the ones that change how we pay attention in everyday life.
We reflect on what we've experienced and what, if anything, it might teach us about ourselves.
No pressure to perform. No need to have the answers.
Just the freedom to explore.
A deeper language for understanding our nature
Within Chinese medicine and Daoist traditions, Jing, Qi and Shen are known as the Three Treasures.
They offer a way of contemplating the relationship between our fundamental resources, the dynamic activity of life and the expression of spirit.

The Three Treasures as an interpretive map of essence, vital activity and spirit.
View full artworkThe roots of our vitality.
A reminder that awareness is not separate from the living body and the resources that sustain it.
The movement and transformation of life.
A language for exploring how we experience vitality, sensation and connection.
The expression of awareness and spirit.
An invitation to consider presence, clarity and the nature of our conscious experience.
An interpretive educational illustration. Jing, Qi and Shen offer a philosophical framework, rather than scientific proof of psychic ability or a ladder of spiritual achievement.
Within The Sacred Resistance, these ideas provide a philosophical foundation for the practice of paying attention.
Not a set of extraordinary claims.
Not a promise of special powers.
A way of bringing our exploration of consciousness back into relationship with life itself.
We are resisting the idea that life is only what we've been taught to see.
The idea that every meaningful experience must fit neatly inside an existing explanation.
That curiosity should end where certainty begins.
That wonder belongs only to childhood.
The Sacred Resistance is not a rejection of reason.
It is an invitation to remain curious.
To question without becoming cynical.
To explore without needing to believe everything.
To honour both the mystery of experience and the importance of discernment.
Because perhaps real freedom begins when we no longer need the world to be smaller than it is.
The Sacred Resistance is an ongoing membership built around shared exploration.
You don't need experience in meditation, energy work or intuitive development.
You don't need to be certain that any particular explanation is true.
You only need a willingness to participate, experiment and remain curious.
Come as you are. Curiosity is enough.

Imagine arriving at a gathering where nobody expects you to have all the answers.
You might begin with a simple awareness exercise.
Then an experiment.
Perhaps you're invited to describe an unseen image or notice the impressions that arise when working with an object.
You record what you experience.
You compare it with the information revealed afterwards.
You discuss what happened.
Some moments feel remarkable.
Others are wonderfully ordinary.
There may be surprises, questions and the occasional spectacular miss.
And that's entirely welcome.
Because the value of the experience is not measured by how often we're right.
It lies in what we learn through paying attention.

The Sacred Resistance is guided by Kat, a fourth-generation Chinese medicine practitioner, advanced somatic bodyworker and spiritual mentor with more than twenty years of experience exploring healing, energy and consciousness.
Her work brings together the practical wisdom of Chinese medicine, embodied awareness and a lifelong curiosity about the deeper dimensions of human experience.
Within The Sacred Resistance, she creates a space for exploration rather than unquestioning belief.
A place where members can investigate their experiences, ask difficult questions and enjoy the extraordinary business of being human.
Meet KatFor some, The Sacred Resistance will be a joyful, ongoing place to experiment.
A space to remain curious and connected.
For others, it may open the desire for a more personal exploration.
Within The Art of Existence, The Divine Edge offers a deeper, individual relationship with energetic awareness and discernment.
Conscious Evolution explores broader questions of consciousness, identity and the nature of existence.
These are not compulsory steps.
There is no spiritual ladder to climb.
Only different invitations to explore.
No. You simply need curiosity and a willingness to explore your experiences.
You're welcome. Exercises are introduced during the sessions and there is no expectation of previous experience.
Then you'll be in excellent company. The sessions are exploratory, not examinations. We value curiosity, observation and discernment over performance.
We explore intuition and perception through practical exercises, including activities sometimes associated with psychic or remote-viewing traditions. We do not promise that members will develop paranormal abilities or that particular explanations for their experiences are established facts.
No. Recordings are included for members who cannot attend live.
Fortnightly. The current schedule is Wednesday evenings from 7pm to 8pm London time, live on Zoom. Your joining information confirms the session dates and access details.

Yes. The Sacred Resistance is the new name for the membership. The intuition gym remains the analogy for our shared practice. The £33 monthly membership, fortnightly Zoom sessions, recordings and WhatsApp community continue.
If you are already a member, you do not need to join again.
You don't need to believe in everything.
You don't need to understand everything.
You don't even need to know what you're looking for.
Sometimes the most interesting discoveries begin with a question.
And sometimes they begin when we finally give ourselves permission to explore.
